About this speaker
Hudson Valley-based for over 35 years, Pate Mauney was educated in photography and filmmaking, perhaps too much and for too many years, and presently enjoys having challenging/demanding photography work as both day and night jobs.
While surrounded by photography as a child (which is also when Pete realized his nocturnal proclivities and roamings and comforts), it wasn’t until his middle teens in the early 1980s that he put the two together. He has been at it ever since, with particular urgency over the last 15 to 20 years. Little makes him happier than finding a dead-end road in the middle of the night while equipped with a car full of cameras.
