About this Talk
In this inspiring presentation Photoshop Hall of Fame member John Paul Caponigro will share his personal explorations of the night sky (as photographer, painter and poet), comparing how we see with the naked eye, the camera eye, and the mind’s eye. His practice spans the gamut from straight exposures (navigating the transition from film to digital) to surreal composites that literally make dreams come true.
John Paul will show how he combines day and night exposures, turns day to night and renders stars. However, the focus of this event is the creative journey. The questions he asks himself will prompt you to ask your own questions about what night photography is and how much more it can be in your creative life.
